Recently, citizens have been enjoying the vibrant blooms at the Rose Garden, part of Huainan’s comprehensive rehabilitation project for nine major coal mining subsidence zones. As a resource-based city, Huainan has undertaken targeted and adaptive efforts to manage and restore coal mining subsidence zones while ensuring national energy security. Through ecological restoration, former urban wastelands have been revitalized into popular destinations for locals to chill and take a snap.
