Promote traditional culture and embrace the beauty of seasonal transitions. What kind of visual spectacle unfolds when the 24 Solar Terms are visualized through sound, light, and digital technology?

On the afternoon of January 31st, the third day of the Lunar New Year, reporters from Huainan Ribao stepped into the Shou County Twenty-Four Solar Terms Pavilion, located within the ancient city, Shou County, to explore the elegance of traditional culture and technological innovation—a romance unique to Shou County, a romance with the Chinese style. Themed “The Essence of Solar Terms: A Timeless Dialogue Between Ancient China and the Vast Universe”, the pavilion’s exhibition is divided into four sections: “Study the past and foretell the future changes”, “Change with the times”, “Act in accordance with the times and norms”, “Keep pace with the times”. These sections explore the cultural significance of the 24 solar terms across multiple dimensions, including phenology, calendar systems, agriculture, rituals, folklore, cultural heritage, and philosophical insights. By deeply exploring the rich connotations of the 24 Solar Terms and integrating physical exhibits with multimedia interpretations, the pavilion seamlessly merges technology and art, creating a platform for the preservation and exchange of solar term culture. Renovated from the former Shou County Museum and its annexes, the main building spans 7,830 square meters across three floors, with approximately 5,300 square meters dedicated to exhibitions. The venue features a 24 Solar Terms Historical and Cultural Exhibition, a panoramic theater, immersive experiences, and a special meteorological science display. Additionally, the pavilion leverages the cultural heritage of the Confucian Temple, enhances nighttime lighting displays, and aims to create a new cultural and tourism landmark in Shou County, embodying the charm of an ancient city while attracting a broad audience.
